200 альбомов в Зале славы рок-н-ролла
В 2004
году Джеймс Хенке, главный куратор Зала славы рок-н-ролла, с помощью
музыкальных писателей и критиков отобрал 500 песен, которые, по их мнению,
оказали наибольшее влияние на формирование рок-н-ролла. Список составлен в
алфавитном порядке по исполнителям.
Несколько
источников указывают, что первоначальный список с 2004 года был расширен до 660
песен, но ни один из этих источников, похоже, не указывает точно, когда это
было сделано. В пересмотренный список были добавлены песни до 2006 года.
Удивительно, но поиск на сайте Зала славы рок-н-ролла даже не выдает
первоначальный список. Тем не менее, список оригинальных 500 и 160 добавленных
песен можно найти здесь. Те песни, которые были добавлены позже, помечены
звездочкой (*).
На
церемонии введения в Зал славы рок-н-ролла 14 апреля 2018 года шесть песен были
признаны синглами, которые сформировали рок-н-ролл, но не были записаны
артистами, которые в настоящее время находятся в Зале. Журнал Billboard сообщил
об этом как о новой вводной категории, но на веб-сайте Зала славы рок-н-ролла
нет упоминания об этом и нет никаких указаний на то, что это было сделано снова
